Great crest Hector. Just wondering if you notice that when I checked out your picture in "photobucket", I saw a whole bunch of great bird pictures. I remembered a post a while back regarding "private viewing" that only allow people to view selected photos. I hope you are aware of this as I saw most of your pictures (roller pictures). Just trying to look out.

hi all gabe you are right the crests do come off graham dexter.who wrote winners with spinners who i know well.i first came across them in the early 70s at grahams.lots of people in england breed them but with out the muffs.les bazance & peter harper breed them quite regular.nearly all the ones i/ve seen roll or r/down.none of them are stable .when i learn to send photos i/ll send some as a friend of mine has a number of them.

Ok guys and girls, I cant hold back anymore ,I hope i don't ruffle anyone's feathers. We here in the United States have created some dynamic pigeons. With no disrespect to MR PEMSOM and the Great roller guys from Birmingham England, and I thank you for the introdction of this pigeon with all of my heart. .The times have changed with the knowledge we have now .we have taken this hobby to a new level.with names like higgings, MONTY Nebel, J smith, Abel, Mason, Ruby Rollers. need I keep going.Look what im trying to say is that guys from caliF to New York and all in between are puttting some outstanding pigeons together. USA is where people are going to want to get there birds from. WE have some serious passion for our birds . WE Are a unique family.let's keep it real and keep sharing the info .REMEMBER THIS statement. KEEP doing What we are doing and you will see and hear what I am talking about JT SMASH

Yea Scott, she is ugly, but she was probably in my top 3 best spinners last year,i didnt stock her for her looks or her crest,i stocked her becouse she was in my top 3 best spinners.
My rule is i stock from the air,if pocible. i cant help it if she had a crest.
She was a verry fast 30 ft and frequent .

Hector, I'm not talkng about the crest, you didn't fly her long enough that is obvious, she may do something but I can assure you that she doesn't carry the entire package of the Birmingham Roller, because she obviously isn't one. She is some other breed (cross) no if's ands or butts , that one just simply can't be aurgued that it isn't a full blown crossbred.

What on earth are you talking about Hector ? your kidding, right ? if not you sure are grabbing at straws.

Hector, you talk about wanting to win fly's, but it aint going to happen on your current path , the guys doing well fairly consistancy aren't wasting perch space by taking thier eye off the ball.
Hector I'm done with this, take it any way you want to take it , hopefully you chew on it, if not, enjoy your birds for what they are and what ever they are.

Scott maybe i do have alot to learn if you say so. i know hector coya personaly i am not lying in what i say these birds can spin hector coya been around many years and a man of alot of knowledge in rollers if you dont belive me okay look scott ive read lots of books on rollers trying to extend my knoledge in these animals wondering if you have read the book called winners with spinners youll see that in england and man called les bezance bred a bird that was crested owned by grahm dexter if you know who he is he states Dark checker bald crested cock probably the best cock ive ever seen in the roll for many years .deepish(2sec)very tight ,compact and frequently (consistantly)perfect.could you see the crest while it was rolling. thats all i have to say scott.

Scott,if you can tell Gabe those birds dont spinn ,just by looking at a picture,my hats off to you,i will hold you above Pensom .
If i never been to your house i whould never have the gutts to look at a picture of your bird and tell you what it dose in the air,man your good.
Hector Coya

George ,Yea those short beaks where bred by some reputable breeders individually. I even Have a Bob Scott with a real short beak,i know he didnt cross them but why the variation in the breed?

Hector, yea some birds it is an easy call, no doubt about it , that first one you posted aint got it, it won't kit for long if at , and most probaby would land early , why do I know this ? because the showbird that was used for the cross is dominating that birds gene pool, I know what your response is but I don't believe it, and if you know it as truth you should have flown it a little longer.

Gabe, crests or "peaks" will pop up out of some families, not the full crown crests though, mosts crests in this country are from crossbreeding, proof being that first picture of the two.

I never said they didnt cross anything to get the crest,im sure Ralph hilton did.the point is that was 40 years ago,and im not crossing anything to get the crest.
You know they crossed many things to get the Bermingham Roller and every other breed, just like anything els.it had to come from some cross, like the dogs came from the wolf's
or where the Poodle already here?
